Benefits of Groups

  • Shared Experiences- In the black community, we tend to keep our business "in this house". This lends itself to isolation and feeling like nobody understands. Group can provide a therapeutic safe space helping to connect you with others who share similar stories so you know you are not alone.

  • Cost-effective- Market rates for individual therapy can be out of many people's reach. Even using insurance can put a strain on finances as it can be difficult to reach high deductibles. Group can offer a more economic way to increase your mental wellness support.

Virtual Support Groups

Virtual Support groups are designed to be more interactive and "face to Face" discussions within a 60 to 90-minute time frame. It is a safe place to share experiences and show support through listening, validation, and proposals of viable solutions. This is not a therapy group, as we will not engage in the treatment of mental health disorders. It is a more intimate interaction than FB groups. The discussions vary depending on the chosen topic and what direction the group organically heads in.

Cost : $20 per session

Group agreement must be signed

The Facebook Cyclebreaker Groups are designed to be a safe space for Cyclebreakers/Generational CurseBreakers to have support and break the Stigma by engaging in discussions related to their experiences, and mental and emotional health, and to discuss and implement practical solutions. This space is intended to provide and promote BIG SUPPORT because when we are breaking cycles, we are going against everything that has been taught before us, therefore the fight leaves us feeling alone. In response, we have created these spaces.
